Dear LCA Families,

As I’m sure you have seen on our school calendar, our fall Week of Prayer is coming up very soon. Mike Carducci will be our speaker during the week of October 3-7.

Each day there will be two separate presentations—one for grades K-5 and one for grades 6-8. Between the two sessions each day, all grades will meet together to sing and pray.

Mike will be presenting on these important topics:

Grades K-5:

“In His Image” - This 5-day keynote presentation is designed for the elementary age (4-11) children that are needing a safe definition of identity and sexuality in a world that is saturated in confusion. Without being educational or explicit in sexual behavior, Michael shares God’s intention of identity and sexuality through the creation experience and also through the stories of Noah, Jacob, and Revelation. He uses the rainbow to share God’s original definition of His love and protection for His creation.

Grades 6-8:

"Why Wait” – A 5-day keynote presentation to the youth about how biblical sex is God’s blessing and the profound effect it has on the church, in the home, and in the community. It also shows the damage of sexuality, according to the world standard physically and emotionally and the effect social media has on the individual, community and the church. With videos, personal testimonies and statistics, it is a valuable tool to show that God’s intention for sex is a blessing and not a restriction. 

As we have done for the last few weeks of prayer, we want to invite you to get together the Friday before week of prayer begins to pray together for the Holy Spirit to be poured out.
