Make SDA Great Again

October 11 was   #NationalComingOutDay  and it also marked the beginning of the   #GCAC18 (the Seventh-day Adventist Church's Annual Council meeting.)

Last week two events affecting #Adventist members of the LGBTIQ community fell on the same day. These two events have special significance. This past summer, a committee of the General Conference set up five committees to deal with various issues of "non-compliance" within the church. These committees were approved by the Annual Council on October 14, 2018. While many SDA Kinship members might find the work of several of the committees of interest, the committee, “Doctrines, Policies, Statements, and Guidelines Regarding Homosexuality” is of importance to us #LGBTIQ Adventists. We will release a statement in the coming days about our thoughts on this development, but in the meantime, here is a link to the full article of information published by Spectrum Magazine & Adventist Forum
