Older Adults

Older LGBTI members of Kinship often have issues related to their age and their sexual orientation or identity. Kinship provides the opportunity for these older members to communicate with each other and helps them locate the services that they may have difficulty finding in the area where they live.  Members of the Kinship leadership team make an effort to stay in touch with older members to make sure they are not alone.

LGAIN and The American Society on Aging has a membership that one can join and at the same time you can look up the most recent electronic connection to OUTWORD and read current pieces that have been written that may be of interest to those who are in our Older Adult group. Some of the articles that have been used are from Social Workers and other groups who work with people in this age group, members who are Lesbigay.
